Okay, who here has actually used an essay service and lived to tell the tale?

So, it’s 2 AM, I’m on my third cold brew, and I’m staring at a 10-page philosophy essay that’s due in... roughly 14 hours. My brain is officially mush. I’m usually pretty good at keeping up, but this semester has just buried me.

I’ve seen ads for these essay writing services pop up all over my Instagram, and I’m seriously considering it just to get something—anything—submitted. But honestly? I’m terrified. 😱 Not just about the cost, but about getting caught. Do they scan for AI now? Is it all just plagiarized garbage they pull from some random website?

I’m not looking for a Nobel Prize-winning paper, just something coherent that proves I didn't die. Has anyone taken the plunge? Was it a lifesaver or a total scam? I need the real tea before I make a huge mistake here... 🥺

Lara, before you do anything: email your professor. Right now. Say exactly what you said here. "I'm drowning, I have 14 hours, I'm panicking, can I have an extension?" Some professors are human and will give you 24 hours. Even if they say no, you've lost nothing. If they say yes, you just saved yourself money and anxiety.

Also, the "scan for AI" thing? Yeah, Turnitin has AI detection now. If you buy an AI-generated paper (which many services use because it's cheaper for them), you will get flagged. Then you're in academic integrity hell. Not worth it.
