My essay is due in two days and I'm still stuck on the first paragraph. Every time I write something, I delete it. Nothing sounds right. My roommate says "just write something and move on" but I can't. What if the whole essay is ruined because of a bad intro?
I found this quote from a writing guide: "The best introductions are often written last" . That makes sense — how can you introduce something you haven't written yet? But my brain won't let me skip ahead. I feel stuck in a loop.
Anyone else have this problem? How do you force yourself to move forward?
