Okay, I need to put this out there because I can't sleep and I'm having a full-blown ethical crisis at 2 AM.
I'm a nursing major, which means my weeks are split between lecture, clinical rotations at the hospital, and then on top of that, I have these ridiculous theory papers about ethics and patient care. It's ironic, right? I'm learning about patient care but I can't care for myself because I'm so exhausted.
This semester is killing me. I have back-to-back 12-hour clinical shifts, then I come home and have to write these 8-page reflection papers that count for a huge part of my grade. I haven't slept more than 4 hours a night in weeks. I'm running on caffeine and spite at this point.

I stumbled across an "essay writing service" ad on Instagram and honestly? I'm tempted. Like, really tempted. Just for one paper. The one due Friday that I haven't started because I was at the hospital all week.
But I'm also terrified. What if it's a scam? What if they plagiarize and I get caught? What if the writing is terrible and my professor knows I didn't write it? I've heard stories about students getting expelled for this.
At the same time, I'm looking at this blank document and thinking... I literally cannot physically do this. My brain is mush. I'm crying in my car between shifts. Something has to give.
Has anyone actually used these services? Not the obvious scammy ones, but like... legit ones? How do you even know if they're legit? And how do the writers know enough about nursing theory to sound convincing? Or do they just churn out generic fluff?
I feel like I'm failing either way. If I write it myself, I'll be a zombie and probably fail. If I pay someone, I'm cheating and risking my whole degree. What do you do when the system just expects too much??
Please be kind, I'm already beating myself up enough.
