We all know we should outline, but it always felt like a waste of time until I realized the outline isn't for the teacher—it's for my future sleep-deprived self at 3 AM.
I switched from the boring alphanumeric format (I, II, III) to a Question-Based Outline.
Instead of writing "Paragraph 2: Economic impact," I write: "Why did this policy actually fail?"
Suddenly, my outline isn't a list of topics; it's a list of answers I need to find.

Pro Tip: Use the "Core 30" method for research papers. Create 30 specific questions about your topic, group them into themes, and boom—you have your body paragraphs .
Anyone else hate the Roman numeral method?

the "Core 30" method sounds interesting but 30 questions feels like so much work? 😅 Like I barely have energy to write the paper let alone come up with 30 questions about it. Maybe for longer assignments it would work though. Do you actually do all 30?
