I’m so tired of reading “Top 10 Tips for Scholarship Essays” articles that have zero actual essays in them.
Tuition Rewards just dropped their 2025–2026 series and it’s actually useful .They publish:
Challenge essays (obstacles + response)
Leadership essays (titles not required—just evidence)
Community impact essays (hours + outcomes + meaning)
Future aspirations essays (specific majors + “why this matters to me”)
What I need: Has anyone won a specific scholarship (Coca-Cola, Gates, Elks, local foundation) and is willing to share your essay (anonymized)? I don’t want tips. I want to see what a $10,000 answer actually looks like.

Tuition Rewards "Leadership" prompt is brilliant because it explicitly says "titles not required" . My winning essay was about something I never considered "leadership" until I framed it right.
I organized a weekly study group for my AP Chem class. No official title. Just me sending texts, booking rooms, making review sheets, and helping struggling classmates. By the end of the semester, 15 people were coming regularly and our class average went up 12%.
When I wrote the essay, I focused on:
Initiative: Not waiting for a teacher to organize it
Sustained effort: Every week for 4 months, even when I was tired
Adaptation: Changing formats when people weren't getting it
Impact: The 12% increase AND the friendships that formed
Learning: Leadership isn't about being in charge—it's about creating conditions for others to succeed
That essay won me $3000 from a local business association. They specifically said they liked that I didn't have a "title" but still made a difference.
