I tried to use a paper writing service and they wrote about the wrong book

I can't make this up. I ordered a 5-page essay on The Great Gatsby—specifically asked for analysis of the green light symbol.

The paper I got was about The Scarlet Letter. When I contacted support, they said I could request a revision, but the revision would take 48 hours and my deadline was in 12 hours. I asked for a refund and they offered me 20% off my next order.

I don't want a next order! I want my money back so I can pay someone else to do it right. I ended up writing the paper myself in a panic at 3 AM and it was terrible. I'm so angry. Has anyone successfully fought for a full refund when a service messes up this badly?

Any tips for dealing with customer support that clearly doesn't care?

OMG, I had the worst experience with a proofreading service last semester. I definitely learned my lesson... It was such a nightmare! I submitted my Religious Studies paper on the Gospel of Matthew for review, and when it came back, they had corrected my grammar but completely missed the mark on the content. They were talking about the Gospel of Mark instead! 🤦🏻‍♂️ Can you imagine? As a Religious Studies major, getting the details right is crucial, so you can bet I was fuming. It's like they didn't even bother to read the actual text I was analyzing. *Lesson learned: never trust just any proofreading service blindly*. Nowadays, I stick to reputable writing apps and academic journals for feedback. It's important to me that whoever is helping me with my work understands the subject matter. A little more care and attention can go a long way in ensuring your hard work isn't wasted!
