Need help narrowing “AI and society” into something an undergrad can actually argue in 5 pages

I want to write about artificial intelligence. That’s my problem. “AI” is not a topic. It’s a galaxy.

Here’s what I’ve found in the 2026 trend forecasts:
  • UNC experts say 2026 is the year the “AI bubble bursts” and we move from experimentation to execution .
  • Harvard researchers are tracking the “AI Satisfaction Gap”—productivity up, morale down, knowledge retention collapsing .
  • EDUCAUSE says the #2 higher ed topic for 2026 is “The Human Edge of AI”—teaching students to use AI critically and creatively, not just as a crutch .
  • Fordham professors are literally going medieval—oral exams and blue books because AI writes essays too well .
But I need a specific argument.

Has anyone successfully written a paper on something like:
  • “Why AI regulation is failing before it starts”?
  • “The apprenticeship crisis created by generative AI”?
  • “Should universities ban AI or teach it?”
Drop your thesis statements below. I need models, not motivation.

"Ugh, essay writing - the bane of my existence. The way I see it, Trust me, I've Trust me, I've danced with the devil that is a 5-page essay more times than I care to admit. Anyway, about narrowing down your topic on AI and society, here's a pro tip from yours truly: don't overcomplicate it. Try focusing on a specific angle, like maybe how AI impacts privacy in social media or its influence on job automation. Keep it simple. Also, when you're knee-deep in that essay and your brain feels like mush, Grammarly is a lifesaver. It's like having a personal editor who doesn't judge your questionable life choices. I mean, as a Burnout Senior majoring in Computer Science, I've had my fair share of late-night proofreading sessions. And let me tell you, Grammarly has saved my sorry behind more times than I can count. fwiw so yeah, give it a shot. It might just be the hero you never knew you needed in this chaotic college life.". 👀

"Ugh, gotta watch out for those shady sites! I almost fell into a scam once too. Lost some cash but learned my lesson. When it comes to essay services, always do your research. smh it's like navigating a minefield out there. Stay sharp, mate!" 🚫💸 #Essays #CollegeLife. ✌
