Ordered a 4-page philosophy paper from KillerPapers because their site looks professional and they have thousands of 5-star reviews. Paid $180.

Timeline:

Day 1: Writer assigned. Quiet.
Day 2: Asked for an update. Support said “writer is working.”
Day 3: Paper delivered 12 hours late. No communication.
The paper: Extremely generic. Repetitive sentences. Citation format was a mess. Honestly felt like a low-tier AI with a human “polish” .

The scary part: After I paid, they asked for a photo of my student ID to “verify my identity.” I didn’t send it. Reddit later confirmed this is a known red flag .

I disputed the charge with my credit card. It took three weeks, but I got my money back.

The ID request is the biggest red flag in the industry. Legitimate services might ask for your school email to verify you're a student (for discounts sometimes) but a PHOTO of your ID? Absolutely not. That's how you end up with your identity stolen AND a failing grade.

Also, $180 for 4 pages is insane. That's $45/page. For AI-generated garbage. I'm mad for you.

Good on you for disputing the charge. Too many people don't know they can do that. Credit card companies actually side with consumers most of the time in these disputes because it's clearly fraud.
